Happy Sunday, friends! Welcome to Sunday Reflections.
I am so thrilled to tell you that as of yesterday, we have quite a few new subscribers! So welcome, everyone, to my weekly lifestyle post called Sunday Reflections.
On Sundays, I often share recipes….a little home decor…sometimes talk fashion…but cover things that are on my mind going into the next week.
Our temperatures in West Texas have warmed back up, but there remains just a little hint of autumn in the air…and I love it so much.
Yes, I have the autumn coffee mugs out and, though, he may not admit it, I know Mr. B likes them too.
So, please grab a cozy spot and let’s discuss a few things in my Sunday Reflections…..
SUNDAY REFLECTIONS: BIGGER IS BETTER

Last week, I shared with you the beginnings of my main autumn arrangement that greets anyone who comes into my entryway.
It seemed a little sparse to me last week, so I pulled out some autumn foliage from a box, and beefed it up…now I love it.
And really like to greet anyone who comes to my house with a reminder to Give Thanks.
I still have not completely finished my autumn decor. One grandson would like to help me finish and I still need Mr. B to get this one box for me that is in a difficult place in the garage.
But, I am anxious to finish up and also purchase a few real pumpkins from the grocery.
SUNDAY REFLECTIONS: MAYBE?

I think my grandsons would have me make Chocolate Chip Cookies and Snickerdoodles every week.
But, I wanted to give them options.
So, I decided to try this recipe SALLY’S BAKING ADDICTION MAPLE BROWN SUGAR COOKIES.
Mr. B loved this cookie...and, full disclosure, he does have a sweet tooth. But, the three grandsons said they were too sweet. (I guess I should be glad about that!)
So, I looked at one and said, “I might try a pumpkin cookie recipe I saw.”
He said, “Gigi, look at me…just think Chocolate Chip for now!”
So, that is what I am doing this weekend…making my best ever Chocolate Chip Cookies for two football teams for Monday night’s games. I heard him!
I am also baking my Pumpkin Bread for the office and later in the week for a friend. Last week, the grands got the first round of the pumpkin bread.
SUNDAY REFLECTIONS: STILL LOOKING AT FALL CLOTHES IN MY CLOSET

I also have not completed turning my wardrobe over from summer.
As I have written before, the advantage of writing a blog for 16 years is that I can look back at past fall outfits and see what I like.
Before, the week is over, I am determined to pull everything out…organize…glean…and come up with autumn outfit ideas. I so hope to see cooler weather soon.
I promise to share with you what I wear to my doctor’s appointment (finally found a Primary Care Physician!) and my Wednesday Bible Study Fellowship study this week….I am so excited to return to BSF!
SUNDAY REFLECTIONS: SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR THE WEEK

Every week, I select a Bible Verse that I will be reflecting on for the entire week…and sometimes it goes longer.
This verse has been meaningful to me for over 30 years, and this week, I will read it daily before my morning prayer and quite time.
I would love to welcome anyone to join me in praying for our land (America) to be healed and for hearts to be changed.

When anyone says that prayers do not make a difference, they do not know my loving Father or His Word.
So, I encourage them to ask God to show them who He is….a good, good Father who holds us in His hands.
He will answer. You will also find answers in the reading and study of His Word.
We have been created for such a time as this, and we can make an amazing difference for Christ when we are praying.
Thank you so much for being here for Sunday Reflections…and again, a big welcome to all the new subscribers.
If anyone would like to subscribe through email, just send me an email to [email protected]. I did remove the subscription box from the home page earlier this year, because it was bombarded by spam.
Tomorrow, I am joined by a fashion friend who will teach all of us about proportions and wardrobe tips…I think many of your questions will be answered. Until then….
BE THANKFUL AND KEEP SMILING!!
